It's not so simple

Tokyo at night

Walking down at Ueno station (Tokyo), I noticed that everyone was very hasty. It was my third time at this mega-super-hyper-ultra-crowded megalopolis called Tokyo, and I know how the way of life is here. Every adult human being in this city is busy with their jobs, business or maybe thinking about the future that is very far away from now. A lot of people cruising the streets with their cellphones, wearing suits, going back home after their work, or maybe going meet some friend or even an unknown person to not feel alone in this crazy big city. Almost 20 million living souls wandering in Tokyo region. It's a huge amount of Homo sapiens. And I can assure you that 80% of this large number which almost doesn't fits in the calculator machine displays were hasty at that monday afternoon. I tried to share this thought with my friends after entering in a super-crowded station, a super-crowded platform and finally a super-crowded train. They were astonished when I told that almost 80% of 20 million were hasty at that moment. People always get scared or surprised when they listen or read more than four zeros. I think it's because we cannot count this amount anymore with our own fingers without getting lost.

So, after all this numbers cracking at my mind, I asked to myself: are they really happy with this busy life? Maybe. However, they are always complaining about their stressful life style. The boss asking to do some impossible things at work, the colleague office is always in bad mood and trying to put you down, the supermarket clerk is an idiot, there is traffic jam everywhere, cellphone doesn't works well, have many virus in your computer, couldn't get a show ticket of your favorite band because you needed to stay until 22:00 at your office doing another people job...So, how can they live this way? or better, how can WE live this way? I really don't know. Probably is because of convenience. I am also living in a big city, but it is far away from this huge number that represents Tokyo. Therefore, I have almost all these actual problems of 'developed' cities. But I'm asking again: Why? Why live this way? Maybe it is to make more money, expand our network and improve the Curriculum Vitae, pretending to be someone that you're not. Or to show that we are better than that farm guy whom lives in the countryside, or maybe worse: to show that you are better than your friend. Is this the real happiness?? For some people, it is. But not for me. I should leave everything and go to the Ocean. I should take only the important things, put into my backpack and leave this city heading a wonderful warm place with good food, good waves and interesting people. I should bring my guitar and play during the cruise. I should go search the happiness. But it's not so simple.
Roscoff, France - Sometimes, you need to understand that the way of life is not a traditional road to get 'there'. Sometimes you will need to improvise. And sometimes, you will need to swim to get 'there'

I agree that is not to simple. We always live for others, family, friends, boss, strangers... We should live what heart says. But when we find the happiness what to do next?
